Program Description:

Economic diversity impacts our workplaces and organizations. This presentation considers 4 key areas for HR professionals – turnover, absenteeism, communication and conflict and suggests ways to improve each through an understanding of differing characteristics of economic classes.

At the conclusion of the presentation, participants:

• Will be able to identify characteristics of economic class and the “lenses with which they see the world”
• Understand how the characteristics of each class can potentially cause conflict and instability in the workforce
• Will leave with suggestions to improve in key areas of stability (retention and absenteeism) and communication

Speaker Biography:

With nearly 20 years of human resources experience in the manufacturing industry, McInturff is lauded for her achievements in employee recruitment/retention; compensation and benefits administration; performance management; mediation/conflict resolution; diversity and inclusion; and labor relations―both union and non-union environments.
