Zach Zoet, LPC, Sabrina Caston, MSW, and Penny Miller, SPHR, SHRM-SCP
Topic: Gender Identity and the Workplace Program Description: Confused about all the letters in LGBTQIA+ and wonder what we mean by gender identity? As we build more inclusive organizations, it is important to understand not only the terminology involved, but also the specific issues important to this community in our workplace. We will also cover what steps organizations can take to become more inclusive for our employees.
Speaker Biographies:
Zach Zoet, LPC. Zach is a board member of the Opal Center and has lived in Wichita Falls for almost 2 decades. He is the assistant director of the MSU Counseling Center and a licensed professional counselor in the state of Texas. One of the populations he's most passionate about serving inside and outside of the therapy room is the LGBTQIA+ population.
Sabrina Caston, MSW. Sabrina has her Masters of Social Work (MSW) and Masters of Sociology from Arizona State University. She currently works as a Qualified Mental Health Professional for Mosaic Behavioral Health providing mental health care to children who have experienced trauma. She formerly worked at Helen Farabee Centers IDD services and operated a licensed child care center for 22 years. She serves on the board for the Opal Center.
Penny Miller, SPHR, SHRM-SCP. Penny has 40 years of experience in HR. She serves on the board of the Opal Center as well as on the Wichita Falls Chamber of Commerce DEI Steering Committee.
