Speaker Biography:

As Co-Director of Government Affairs for Texas SHRM, Pam has been the point person for all things legislative in our state for the last 10 years. She closely monitors our state legislative sessions to determine which proposed employment laws are of relevance to our HR community. Pam relays information to those potentially impacted, recommends a course of action, and rallies teams for action as necessary. She has developed and strengthened our partnerships with Texas Workforce Commission and the Texas Association for Business among others for the benefit of employers and our state workforce. Recently, her leadership brought Texas SHRM, national SHRM and other organizations together to fight Austin’s paid sick and safe leave law as we promote the federally proposed Workflex in the 21st Century Act. She is a passionate and dedicated volunteer who has favorably impacted our state’s HR advocacy presence.

Bratton has served on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for the Texas Association of Business (TAB), the Chair of the Texas American Staffing Association PAC, and is co-director of Governmental Affairs/Advocacy for the Texas SHRM State Council. Pam serves on the executive committee of the Alliance for Strengthening and Securing the Economy in Texas (ASSET). Her service to the industry also includes past president of the Texas Association of Staffing, and 2-time C. O. Koch award recipient for lifetime achievement and the Kate Thornberry Hill Lifetime Industry Leader Award. She maintains an active role in regulatory and legislative advocacy.
