  • Non-members: Please email tbaker@vernoncollege.edu if you wish to attend after your first visit, but don't want to order a lunch.
  • $10 Meal Price is for members only.
    (Lunch will be provided at no cost for first time guests - after first visit meal price is $15)

Speaker Biography:   

Michelle Schroeder, Director, Airman & Family Readiness Center

Michelle Schroeder is the Chief of the Airman & Family Readiness Flight at Sheppard AFB.  The Airman & Family Readiness Center (A&FRC) provides individuals, families, leadership, and retirees with services that strengthen the military community and promote self-sufficiency, mission readiness, military retention, and adaptation to the Air Force way of life.  One of the 16 core programs offered through the A&FRC is the Transition Assistance Program (TAP).  TAP provides separating/retiring military personnel and their families the skills and knowledge for a successful transition to civilian life through congressionally mandated pre-separation counseling, TAP workshop, Veteran Affairs benefit information, CAPSTONE, and a resource center.  Approximately 320-340 personnel separate or retire from Sheppard AFB annually.
