The cost is $10 for members and FREE for first time guests! Guests joining us after their first visit will be charged $15 for lunch.

·    Commonly abused substances and how to identify them in an employee

·    How to address substance use suspicion or concerns

Speaker Bio:   

Tami Byrd has been with Red River Hospital since 2016 and has served as a Program Director for the Military Heroes Unit and Primary Therapist during her tenure.  Her current position as Director of Clinical Serivces is reflective of the skills she has garnered along the way.  Tami has enhanced her abilities through years of training in many different therapeutic modalities such as, Cognitive Processing Therapy Training, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and utilizes solution based therapy and Motivational Interviewing.  She has specialized training in substance abuse issues, as well as presenting lectures on relevant topics.  She is currently independently licensed as both a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in the state of Texas.

Tami has served in various capacities within the chemical dependency field beginning with her work at New Life Transitional program in Tucson, AZ working with adolescents and their families.  Tami has also worked locally with community resources alongside with the legal system in chemical dependency programs designed to rehabilitate offenders and promote long term recovery.  Her passion is to come alongside people in their times of need and assist them in their path to wellness.
