Speaker Biography: Melodi Bernal is the Training and Staff Development Manager at Work Services Corporation, a private non-profit corporation  whose mission is to create job opportunities for people with disabilities.  WSC was founded in 1954, in Wichita Falls, Texas, as a school for twelve children with intellectual disabilities.  At that time, the Texas public school system did not provide for the education of children with intellectual disabilities.  From these rather humble beginnings, Work Services Corporation has evolved into the largest employer of people with disabilities in the region.  WSC's workforce of 700 employees includes 550 people with significant disabilities.  Over the years, Work Services Corporation has gained national recognition as a leader in employment programs for people with disabilities.

Melodi has over 30 years' experience in the HR field.  She graduated from MSU with a BBA in Business Management. She holds professional certifications in Human Resources, Instructional Design, and Non-Profit Management.
