The cost is $10 for members and FREE for first time guests! Guests joining us after their first visit will be charged $15 for lunch.

Topic:  Chamber of Commerce and Its Efforts to Upgrade Workforce 
   
Program Theme:  The local Chamber of Commerce works diligently to seek and provide resources which are focused on attracting world-class talent to the Wichita Falls area.          
Learning Points:  
1.       The local chamber employs a vast array of tools which are designed to attract local talent – this presentation is designed to display these tools and show how they are available to local HR Managers in their recruiting efforts.
2.       The local chamber has championed the development of a Technology Center which was approved by the voting population in 2015.  This center is designed to increase the employment skills of the local work force.
3.       The local chamber has developed many programs with local chamber members to assist in the on-going development of their work force to include prior planning and training to employment candidates to be ready for recruiting needs.

 
Speaker Biography:  Henry Florsheim is the President and CEO of the Wichita Falls Chamber of Commerce, a 750-member Chamber and economic development organization with ten employees and hundreds of volunteers.  A native of Monroe, LA, Florsheim is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Monroe in Business Management and the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute. He has an MBA from Louisiana Tech University, and is also an alumnus of Leadership Louisiana and Leadership Arkansas.  Last summer he received his IOM designation as he graduated from the Institution of Organization Management, a program of the United States Chamber of Commerce at the University of Georgia.     

A creative problem-solver, Florsheim has over 16 years of economic development experience and a history of developing successful strategic partnerships.  Henry and his wife Kimberly have six children, three of which they recently adopted, and have served as foster parents to many other children in need.
